| Talk of the town
When
I began learning how to dance Salsa, I was watching a concert
video put out by RMM called The Combinacion Perfecta. I was
particularly interested in the female dancers of the RMM dance
group.
As
I watched, I was intrigued at how they all moved their bodies
to this strange new and wonderful dance I was learning. Among
all the female dancers in the video, a tall, lean, and graceful
woman kept standing out. Her aura was astounding; her name
was Addie Rodriguez. "Wow, look at her!" I thought to myself
as I sat mesmerized at not only her beauty, but her attitude
and graceful stage-presence.
I
rewound the tape, and played it again, just to see this woman
dance. A few years later, when I finally met Addie in New
York, I found her beauty transcends the physical. As a person,
she is just as beautiful inside as out. She is warm, friendly,
and most of all, loves people - a trait that keeps a timeless
radiance about her. No matter where Addie goes, Addie is noticed.
Crowds
gather around when she's dancing at nightclubs, men dying
to dance with her, and women dying to catch a few "cool styling
moves." She's a show-stopper. One of the best I've seen. Years
of dedication and hard work has earned her well-deserved reputation
and nickname as the "Diva" of Salsa dancers. Starting in New
York over a decade ago, Addie has taken the Salsa world by
storm with her impressive sultry moves and sexy style. From
Europe to the Caribbean, and from television to film, Addie
Rodriguez is well-known internationally as one of the finest
Salsa dancers in the world.
Her ability to teach her dance style to others
is another talent she also possesses and should be very proud
of. As a very busy and sought-after dance instructor, Addie's
vitality, humor, and energy fire-up and motivate students
to want to learn more and more.
